for registration and submission of abstracts/papers for participation in the International Scientific Conference «Medieval cities of Turkmenistan in the system of the Eurasian civilization»

According Decree № 11825 of September 9, 2011 of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the International Scientific Conference «Medieval cities of Turkmenistan in the system of the Eurasian civilization» will be held in the city of Ashgabat on March 28—30, 2012.

Working languages of the conference: Turkmen, English and Russian.

The organizer — the Institute of History of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan.

Registration for participation in the conference it is necessary to fill in the registration form of the conference and submit it along with the abstract of the paper to the Organizing committee.

General requirements for registration of abstracts of papers

We kindly ask you to observe the following requirements for registration of abstracts of papers:

1. Abstracts of papers are submitted to the Organizing committee by e-mail.

The volume of abstracts of papers should not exceed 1, 5 pages (at one-and-a-half space, type size 14) of А 4 format (210×297 mm).

2. The file should contain by lines:

The surname, name, patronymic of the author (s) (in complete form), a scientific degree, an academic status, in brackets the name of the country in an abbreviated form (for example: Ivanov Peter Sergeyevich, Doctor of Sciences, Professor (Russia), font size 14, semi-bold face, with alignment on the page centre;

The title of the paper in capital letters, font size 14, semi-boldface, with alignment on the page centre;

It is necessary that a line of spacing (empty line) should be left before proceeding to typing the rest of the text of the abstract.

3. The main content of the abstract should be typed by Times New Roman with font size 14 and should be aligned by the page width. Each paragraph should begin with an indented line. Margin: top and bottom — 2, 0 cm. left — 2, 5 cm, right — 1, 5 cm.

4. Pages of the abstract should not be numbered.

6. Abstract of the paper is accepted only in the format of document Word (with file doc.).

7. Corrections and additions to abstracts are not accepted. Abstracts may be rejected by the decision of the Organizing committee.

Submission of abstracts, registration forms and other materials

Abstracts of papers, registration forms as well as copies of passports for visa support and hotel reservation (after reception of the official invitation of the Organizing committee) should be submitted to the Organizing committee by e-mail to the following address history@online.tm;  nurgozel-b2006@yandex.ru till December 30, 2011.

It is desirable not to archive files. In case, you apply archives we ask you to use only <zip> or <rar> formats.

Attention. Names of files should begin with the surname of the author (authors). For example: for abstracts- «Ivanov.doc», for the registration form — «Ivanov_reg.doc», for the passport — «Ivanov_pas.doc».

The reply letter of the Organizing committee would be the guarantee of reception by us of your abstracts and the registration form of the conference participant.

Upon consideration of abstracts of papers the Organizing committee will send to your address an official invitation letter for participation in the conference.

Conference registration will be completed by January 15, 2012.

Arrival of conference participants and the terms of payment of expenditures

All travel and accommodation expenses of conference participants in Turkmenistan, who have received the official invitation of the Organizing committee, will be covered by the Institute of History of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan.

Hotel accommodations are reserved by the Organizing Committee upon registration of application forms till January 20, 2012.

The Organizing Committee provides visa support as well as transport facility from and to the airport for participants of the conference upon their arrival and departure after completion of the conference.
