On March 08, 2007, a meeting of the president of "Juma Al-Majid" Cultural Center of the United Arab Emirates Mr. Juma Al-Majid with the representatives of Turkmen science took place at Turkmenbashy Turkmen National Institute of Manuscripts.
A 2 (two)-years Agreement on training specialists for the study of Turkmen cultural heritage, their exchange, improving of specialists' qualification to secure high quality restoration of manuscripts preserved has been signed by the Director of "Miras" Turkmen National Center of Cultural Heritage Mr. A. Ashirov and the president of "Juma Al-Majid" Cultural Center of the United Arab Emirates Mr. Juma Al-Majid.
During the meeting of the UAE's representative with the researchers of Turkmenistan at "Miras" Center of Cultural Heritage of Turkmenistan Mr. Juma Al-Majid has noted the importance of concentration of all national manuscripts in one center for their further popularization through translation into mother tongue.
Having answered to some questions, Mr. Juma Al-Majid told about the Agreement's objectives, the realization of which would enrich the Turkmen state's manuscript fund due to stocking it with "Juma Al-Majid" Cultural Center manuscripts concerning the history, literature, language and other spheres of the Turkmen life.
"Juma Al-Majid" Cultural Center fund numbers 500 000 manuscripts. It has established close relations with the largest libraries and Cultural centers of the world. Mr. Juma Al-Majid has expressed his intention of further development and strengthening the mutual collaboration with "Miras" Cultural Center of Turkmenistan and his resolution to transfer manuscripts concerning the history, literature, language and cultural heritage of the Turkmen people to the possession of the Turkmen state, thus facilitating the study of Turkmen history and establishment of the new rich fund of its cultural heritage.
